It is estimated that more than 18,000 local students have been supported in their pursuit of higher education through Foundation scholarships. Scholarship Opportunities for 2024-2025
The Winston-Salem Foundation is now accepting applications for its scholarship program for the 2024-2025 academic year. Thanks to generous donors, the Foundation will be granting more than $1.5 million this year to students from Forsyth, Davidson, Davie, Stokes, Surry, Wilkes, and Yadkin Counties. The Foundation holds more than 150 scholarship funds. Students with a wide range of GPAs and interests can qualify, whether they are attending community colleges, colleges, or universities.

Most of the Foundation's scholarships are accessed through their online One-Stop Scholarship Application. This streamlined process allows students to be automatically considered for all the scholarships for which they are eligible with just one application. How to Apply Through the One-Stop Application
- Complete the FAFSA Form: As a first step, U.S. citizens need to complete the FAFSA form at fafsa.gov.
- Access the One-Stop Scholarship Application: Visit wsfoundation.org/students to access the application portal.
- Complete the General Application: Fill out the General Application, as well as any other recommended opportunities you are prompted to complete.
- Provide Supplemental Materials:
- FAFSA Submission Summary (after completing the FAFSA form)
- High school grade transcript through the 11th grade for graduating high school seniors or college grade transcript for students who are already in college, whichever is the most recent
