A Legacy of Innovation and Compassion

Founded in 1988 by a group of New Jersey ABA practitioners and parents, including Bridget Taylor, Fred Bunker, Debra Gladstone, Mark Gladstone, and Linda Meyer, Alpine Learning Group emerged as one of the first nonprofit autism education centers in Bergen County. Inspired by their son Andrew’s diagnosis, Debra and Mark Gladstone, alongside Dr. Bridget Taylor, envisioned a center that would provide expert, comprehensive services to support the growth, dignity, and lifelong opportunities for autistic individuals and their families.

From diagnostics to adult employment services, Alpine has been at the forefront of autism education and research for more than 30 years. With caregivers as our partners, we offer a range of personalized services to meet the unique needs of all learners and families.

As a New Jersey Department of Education-approved school for children and adolescents with disabilities, the Education Program serves learners ages 5-21. A range of ABA-based teaching techniques, individualized for each learner, is employed to meet every learner’s needs. The full-day, twelve-month ABA-based school offers personalized instruction for learners ages 5 to 21 in Bergen County and surrounding New Jersey areas. Instruction is provided in individual and small group settings to ensure each learner gets the resources and attention they need to flourish.

Transition Programs

The Transition Programs, including the Business and Success Academies, are aimed at learners transitioning from adolescence into adulthood. Through community-based and work-based learning experiences, learners strengthen employability and independence skills, preparing them for the workforce or college. These Bergen County-based academies for ages 14-21 prepare learners for college or the workforce by identifying their strengths, imparting skills and confidence, and setting them on the path to becoming independent adults.
