Clemson University Admitted Student Portal Guide: Your Path to the Clemson Family
Congratulations on your acceptance to Clemson University! This guide provides a comprehensive overview of the Clemson University Admitted Student Portal and the essential steps to take as you prepare to join the Clemson Family. From accepting your offer to preparing for campus life, this guide will help you navigate the process smoothly.
Key Application Deadlines
- Early Action: October 15 (application submission deadline)
- Regular Decision & Scholarship Consideration: January 1 (application submission deadline)
Clemson University offers several application options: the Clemson Application, the Coalition Application (Powered by Scoir), and the Common Application. The university emphasizes that no preference is given to any particular application during the admission review process. A nonrefundable $70 application fee is required, payable via major credit cards. Fee waivers are available for eligible students who demonstrate financial need by completing the financial sections of the application.
Clemson has adopted a test-optional policy, meaning that applicants are not required to submit standardized test scores (SAT/ACT) to be considered for admission. However, placement in introductory math courses is based on your SAT or ACT math scores. Clemson only accepts official test scores sent directly from the testing agency.
First-year applicants are required to self-report their high school transcripts during the application process. Admitted students will then be required to send official transcripts prior to enrollment.
Securing Your Place at Clemson
Upon being admitted, you're officially joining the Clemson Family. To reserve your spot for your first semester, you will need to complete the necessary steps. The Clemson University admissions portal is your central hub for indicating your plan to enroll. Keep in mind that your initial response is nonbinding. Deposits are due by midnight EST on the specified deadline date.

Financial Aid and Scholarships
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) becomes available in the fall. The amount of need-related aid you are eligible for is determined by the information you provide annually on the FAFSA. There is no separate application process for the majority of scholarships and aid at Clemson. For additional information, contact the Office of Student Financial Aid. Check with Financial Aid for deadline information. You can also connect with representatives about using financial aid, paying your bill, and more.
Pursuing higher education is an investment, and Clemson offers multiple college preparation resources and recommendations for middle and high school students, parents, and counselors.
