Contra Costa Adult School

Contra Costa Adult School offers comprehensive programs designed to facilitate successful transitions for adult learners. The school is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Contra Costa Adult School campuses are located in Contra Costa County’s three detention facilities. Our mission is to facilitate successful transitions of adult learners by providing life-changing education and personal development. Courses include but are not limited to Adult Basic Education, High School Diploma, High School Equivalency Testing (HiSET), GED practice testing, Deciding Education Understanding Counseling Evaluation (DEUCE), Commitment to Change, and English Second Language (ESL). Contra Costa Adult School offers pre apprenticeship certification recognized by North American Building Trades Unions, TradesFutures for Multi Craft Core Curriculum (MC3). As part of the Contra Costa County Adult Education Consortium, we team up with West Contra Costa Adult Education to provide one-on-one support throughout your journey.We offer classes in-person, online and in-between (hybrid), and during the daytime, evenings, weekends or anytime you like (asynchronous). Just check out the class schedule for a more detailed idea of what we have to offer!And, just like all CCC students, adult learners can take advantage of CCC’s financial and other support programs, like help with basic needs such as food, household essentials and health and wellness support.
