Farm Bureau Scholarships: Funding the Future of Agriculture
Farm Bureau scholarships offer valuable financial assistance to students pursuing agricultural studies and related fields. These scholarships, available at the state, collegiate, county, and district levels, support the next generation of agricultural leaders. State Farm Bureau Scholarships
Several state Farm Bureaus offer scholarships to support students pursuing careers in agriculture.
Indiana Farm Bureau Scholarships
The Indiana Farm Bureau awards three $2,000 Ag Impact Scholarships to graduating high school seniors who plan to pursue careers in agriculture. Applicants must demonstrate significant involvement in 4-H and/or FFA programs, as well as leadership experience. The application period runs from Jan. 1 to March 1, 2026.
North Carolina Farm Bureau Scholarships
The North Carolina Farm Bureau awards scholarships to youth pursuing a future in the agriculture industry. Since 1967, it has awarded more than $3,000,000 in scholarships. Preference is given to Farm Bureau members.
South Dakota Farm Bureau Scholarships
The South Dakota Farm Bureau is dedicated to agriculture in the state and offers scholarships to youth planning to return to rural communities to work. Applicants can choose to be considered for an agriculture-focus or community-focus scholarship, depending on their major and/or experience with agriculture. Applicants must be 17 years of age or older and be a high school graduate or a college freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior. Applications from high school seniors must include a copy of most recent ACT score or Accuplacer score. A current resume that highlights work experience, involvement in school and community activities and leadership roles, and two dated Letters of Recommendation are required. A copy of the Letter of Acceptance from the qualified school the applicant is planning to attend is also required.

Collegiate Farm Bureau Scholarships
Collegiate Farm Bureau Scholarships are available for students actively involved in collegiate chapters of the organization.
Indiana Farm Bureau Scholarships
Indiana Farm Bureau offers two $1,000 Collegiate Farm Bureau Scholarships for students currently enrolled at Purdue University, Huntington University, or Vincennes University. Eligible applicants must be actively involved in the organization's collegiate chapters. The application period runs from Jan. 1 to March 1, 2026.

Many county and district Farm Bureaus provide additional scholarship opportunities unique to their local areas.

The application period for scholarships offered through the portal are open from Jan. 1 to March 1, 2026. While most scholarship applications are available through the online portal, some county Farm Bureaus still offer scholarships in PDF format. Some County Farm Bureaus offer scholarships to their local members.
General Eligibility Requirements
While specific requirements vary depending on the Farm Bureau chapter and scholarship type, some general eligibility requirements often apply:

- Age: Many scholarships require applicants to be at least 17 years of age.
- Educational Status: Scholarships are available to high school seniors, college students (freshmen, sophomores, juniors, or seniors), and adult learners.
- Academic Performance: High school seniors may need to submit ACT or Accuplacer scores.
- Involvement: Applicants often need to demonstrate involvement in agricultural activities, such as 4-H or FFA, and community activities.

Indiana Farm Bureau Grant Programs
The Indiana Farm Bureau provides several grant programs, including:
- Career Enrichment Scholarship: Awarded to adults (21 years or older) who intend on enriching their career.
- Ag Education and Promotion Development Grant: Assists county Farm Bureaus or Farm Bureau members and educators that do not have adequate funds for a new program, activity, or to attend an event that enhances the promotion of agriculture and education. Program examples could include but are not limited to, books for classrooms, incubator systems, supplies for school gardens, etc. Event examples may include the National Ag in the Classroom Conference, AFBF Women’s Communication Boot Camp, summer educational programs, specialized educational conferences, etc.
- INFB Priority Issue Grant Program: Designed to assist a county Farm Bureau that does not have adequate funds to specifically address a critical issue, membership promotion and/or advertising campaign, or a Young Farmers & Ag Professionals program or youth activity. If a group of counties (or a district) is working on a project together they can apply jointly. This application must be approved by the county president(s) and regional manager(s).
- INFB Program Development Grant: Provides assistance to county Farm Bureaus that do not have adequate funds for a new program or activity they would like to initiate.
