FGCU Student Health Services: A Comprehensive Guide

FGCU Student Health Services offers a variety of resources for students enrolled at FGCU. It is an invaluable resource for students seeking medical care, health education, and wellness support. Accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, the center is committed to providing accessible and affordable services to the student body.

Location and Access

Students can access the Student Health Services by going to garage two, and finding Health Services directly adjacent and behind the art and Music building. Upon entering Student Health Services, there will be a set of friendly staff waiting to greet you at the check in desk, located directly in front of you, when entering through the only entrance.

Operating Hours:

  • Monday - Thursday: 8:15 AM - 4:45 PM
  • Friday: 9:00 AM - 4:45 PM

When visiting Student Health Services, you need to bring an Eagle ID and a payment method for any medications or labs required. It is important to note that there is a twenty-five dollar “No Show Fee” for any appointments that are canceled two hours before they start or that are not attended.

Services Offered

Student Health Services works to provide care for sick students, provide vaccines, and educate students on living healthy lifestyles. When visiting Student Health Services, students can take advantage of many free services. Students can also take advantage of services that are offered for a low cost, such as vaccinations, laboratory tests for many diseases and minor surgeries, including stitches.

Making an Appointment

To use Student Health Services, students must make an appointment. Students are able to make an appointment through the following phone numbers.

  • Routine Appointments: (239) 590-7966
  • Immunization Appointments: (239) 590-1254

While some walk-in appointments are available, these are not available on a regular basis. However, if you have an urgent need, Student Health Services will not refuse service.

Wellness Resources

On top of providing health care to students, Student Health Services provides a wealth of information about wellness and healthy lifestyles. Student can go to the wellness center and pick up pamphlets about common diseases, smoking, disease prevention and immunizations. These pamphlets can be found all over the waiting room, specifically over on the right wall when walking into Student Health Services. Student Health Services also provides condoms and Plan B pills.

Insurance and Billing

Students can make an appointment and visit Student Health Services free of charge, regardless of their insurance. Students can purchase most medications or lab services for low prices in a variety of ways, such as Flex Dollars, cash or money previously put on their Eagle ID card.
