Germanna Community College: A Comprehensive Overview

Campuses and Locations
Germanna Community College operates across multiple campuses and centers, strategically located to serve the diverse needs of its student population. These include:
Locust Grove Campus: Situated on Route 3, midway between Culpeper and Fredericksburg, this campus features a 60,000 square-foot building encompassing classrooms, laboratories (including a state-of-the-art technologies laboratory), a wellness center, bookstore, administrative and faculty offices, a library, information services, business office, and student lounge. The campus also offers outdoor facilities such as tennis courts, a playing field, nature trails, jogging paths, and a picnic area. There are plans to replace and rebuild the older building on this campus.
Fredericksburg Area Campus: Located on seventy acres in Spotsylvania County near the intersection of Interstate 95 at Routes 1 and 17 South, this campus opened in January 1997. Phase III, opened in 2012, added 50,000 square feet of space, providing laboratories, instructional resources, and student services. Parking decks were also added at the same time. In 2011, the Dickinson Building on this campus sustained damage from an earthquake. The land was donated by the John T. Hazel family. Joseph R. Daniel Technology Center: Situated on Route 29 and State Route 3 adjacent to the town of Culpeper, this 34-acre center is primarily designed for workforce development instruction and technology training. The 39,000 square foot facility includes a conference center with 700 theatre-style seats, a banquet with 300 seats, a manufacturing technology lab, an executive conference room, a training suite, and a catering kitchen. Barbara J. Fried Center (Stafford County): Located at 124 Old Potomac Church Road in Stafford County, this center opened in June 2018 with the support of Adam and Rhonda Fried and the Stafford County Economic Development Authority. The center offers a full range of credit courses for transfer to universities, in addition to Workforce and Community Education. Visit the Stafford County Center from I-95, take Exit 143A to head west on Garrisonville Road (Route 610). After a short drive, turn right onto Center Street. The Barbara J. Fried Building (10 Center Street), houses the Welcome Center.
FredCAT (Fredericksburg): Located at 1325 Central Park Blvd. in Fredericksburg, FredCAT provides Workforce Development training in a variety of fields and serves as a base for apprenticeship training.
