In conjunction with Gordon Food Service Partner Colleges and Universities, the GFS Future Makers Program offers an exciting paid opportunity to experience different careers at our divisional offices. Each week, you will “journey” through a different department, learning what they do, how they do it, and how their work plays a role in the overall picture.

A Rotational Internship Experience

Are you looking for a summer internship experience that allows you to work in various areas of our growing food industry? Gordon Food Service divisional internship takes you on a journey learning what we do, how we do it, and how GFS is a major player in the food industry. Each summer, GFS hosts a paid 10-week rotational internship program. This program allows students from partner colleges to job-shadow various teams, including Human Resources, Marketing, Transportation, and Finance. This rotational approach provides interns with a broad understanding of the company's operations and allows them to discover their interests and strengths.

Key Departments and Responsibilities

As an intern, you will learn about Commercial and Non-Commercial Sales, Marketing, Transportation, Finance, Human Resources, Warehouse, and the Stores, with the opportunity to travel within the region to engage directly with off-site customers.

Application Timeline

Internships typically open in the Fall and close by year’s end. The goal of our program is to find and retain top talent to join our company after graduation.
