The scholarship is targeted towards low- and middle-income families from North Carolina and is limited to students studying in STEM disciplines or affiliated education majors. The scholarship provides $23,000 annually and is renewable for up to four years for first-year students and two years for transfer students. Dr. Jim Goodnight is the founder and CEO of SAS Institute, and Ann Goodnight serves as the director of community relations at SAS and is a former member of the NC State Board of Trustees.

The Caldwell Fellows Program

The Caldwell Fellows is a leadership development program that has shaped over 1300 alumni through servant leadership.
