Comprehensive Care at SLU
SLU's commitment to student health encompasses a range of services designed to address both physical and mental well-being. From basic medical care to specialized mental health support, the university strives to create a healthy and supportive campus environment. The services include:
Care Clinic: A primary care clinic is available for non-emergency medical needs, covering everything from the basic cold to specialized care of preexisting medical conditions.
Physical Therapy: Both Student Health and Physical Therapy are available in Tower East, just south of the Busch Student Center.
Mental Health Support: Recognizing the importance of mental health, SLU offers various resources, including therapy by appointment (excluding University holidays), assessments offered on a sliding scale fee, and access to mental health support seven days a week.

Counseling Services: Students can access counseling services for a range of concerns, including stress, anxiety, depression, and other emotional distress.
Psychiatric Department Walk-in Clinic: The SLU Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience offers a walk-in clinic for students at Monteleone Hall, 1438 S. Grand Blvd.

24/7 Support: Mental health support is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by phone.
Assessments: Mental health assessments are offered on Tuesdays to address learning concerns and other emotional distress. These assessments are offered on a sliding scale fee.

Beyond medical and mental health services, SLU offers additional resources to support students' overall well-being. These resources include:
Spiritual Support: Spiritual support for patients and their families is available throughout the duration of your hospital stay. The chapel is located on the 1st floor of the hospital near the Grand Cafeteria. SLU LAW also provides spaces for prayer and reflection, such as the Miyuki Nakamura Chapel in Scott Hall, Room 740, and the SLU LAW Interfaith Space in Scott Hall, Room 1014.
Food Pantry: A food pantry is available in the Hall in the 8th floor student lounge. Food can be ordered through Marketplace or gathered during pantry open hours that are posted throughout the semester.

Professional Attire: Recognizing that students may need professional attire for interviews and internship/work opportunities, SLU provides resources to address this need.
Important Information for Patients and Visitors at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital
SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital is a LEVEL 1 Time Critical Diagnosis hospital in Stroke, Trauma and STEMI. The main hospital entrance is directly off of Grand Blvd. Pull into the drive between LaSalle St. and Rutger St.
Parking: Patients and visitors for the main hospital may park in the covered garage on La Salle Street, directly across from the hospital. All tickets must be validated for a discounted rate of $2 a ticket. Tickets that are not validated will be charged a $1 per hour up to 6 hours and then a flat $25 fee after that. Valet parking for the La Salle garage is $4. Ample accessible parking is available, and valet parking services are available at most entrances. All buildings at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital are accessible.
Cafeteria: The Grand Cafeteria is on the first floor of the hospital. It features a salad bar, grill, pizza, snack and beverage station, and more.
Gifts: Unfortunately, sometimes outside gifts - such as food, drinks and flowers - can actually be harmful to patients.
Accommodation: Many area hotels offer low rates for our patients and families.
