CBE programs are administered via a distance learning format with a faculty model designed for 1:1 faculty/student contact. Students accelerate at the pace they choose, learning through their demonstration of current knowledge and skills already gained from previous education or experience.

One of the most popular features of the CBE programs is the subscription-based tuition structure, which allows for a 6-month "All You Can Master" experience. This flexible tuition allows students to go as fast or as slow as their lifestyle dictates with a flat subscription fee.

Admission and Enrollment

South College offers several avenues for general admission as an Undergraduate. Those applying to graduate programs should review admission and application requirements in the catalog section for each program. South College is pleased to provide Microsoft Office Pro Plus to all students enrolled in credit courses at no cost via the Microsoft Student Advantage program! South College, and most of your Instructors, use Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). You also will receive free downloads of needed applications such as Adobe Acrobat Reader, Quick Time, Windows Media Player and more.

Financial Aid and Scholarships

South College participates in a range of financial aid programs to help students finance their education. Aid is available in the form of scholarships, grants, work-study programs, and loans. The financial aid staff work individually with students to determine eligibility and provide guidance throughout the process.

South College is a proud participant in the Tennessee Promise Scholarship, Hope Scholarship, Florida Bright Futures Scholarship, 21st Century Scholarship, South College Promise, and Yellow Ribbon Scholarship programs.

Transfer Credits

Credit for transfer work may be given if it was taken at an accredited collegiate institution, if it is equivalent to courses offered at South College, and if it carries a grade of C or better. However, any coursework older than seven years may be denied transfer credit due to the material being determined outdated. Acceptance of credits earned at other institutions is limited to 60% of the total hours required for the particular degree or certificate program.
