Applying for a Stamps Scholarship is easy: just apply to one or more of our partner schools. If you qualify, you’ll automatically be considered for a Stamps award. The majority of our partner colleges and universities don’t require a separate application for the Stamps Scholarship, but the application deadline and award process varies from school to school along with the amount of the award.
Leadership development is at the core of the Stamps Scholarship program. Leadership potential is also a key part of the selection criteria for receiving a Stamps award. The Stamps Scholars Program welcomes and supports students from all backgrounds and areas of study. Financial need is not a consideration. At some of our partner schools, international students are eligible for the Stamps Scholarship. In many cases, students who apply by certain deadlines (often the early or “scholarship” deadline) using the normal freshman application for admission will be automatically considered for the Stamps Scholarship. If you are interested in being considered for a Stamps Scholarship, please contact one (or more) of our partner schools directly. Scholarships are awarded by the partner schools. Scholarship terms vary, so please check with the schools in which you are interested for more details on how to apply and what the benefits of the award are at that college or university. Several Stamps partners have programs that provide enrichment funding to students typically for their final two years of study.

- Be a student currently enrolled in a secondary school, with an expectation to graduate and enroll at the University of Connecticut in the fall semester of 2026.

- Submission of standardized test scores is optional and is not required for Stamps Scholarship eligibility. However, if applicants choose to submit, they should have a minimum combined SAT Score of 1420 or an ACT composite score of 32.
- Applicants should have a minimum grade point average of 3.8 on a 4.0 scale and, if available, rank in the top 10% of their graduating class.
