Socio-emotional development: Children gain independence and self-control by learning to trust others and by learning the appropriate ways to take initiative while respecting others. Fun, engaging activities are included at no extra cost to encourage your child to develop new interests and skills. Your little one learns yoga, beginner Spanish and improves their non-verbal communication with beginner Sign language.

Mindful Magic Curriculum

Children are encouraged to practice kindness and gratitude in all of their daily interactions. Mindful Magic Meetings take place twice daily! Social-emotional skill development is your child’s understanding of feelings within him or herself, as well as those of others. It also means being able to identify how they’re feeling and being able to express these feelings effectively. Developing these skills will help your child to have greater control of their emotions now and as a lifelong skill. You are welcome to join special workshops explicitly designed to help you elevate your child’s social emotional skill development and academic success. Our standards-based academic curriculum coupled with our own Mindful Magic Curriculum ensures that each child will meet with success in kindergarten and beyond! their overall focus on and perseverance in tasks.

At The Learning Tree, learning through play is a fundamental principle. Play & Sports Ground

The outdoor play area includes traditional play equipment that encourages creativity, as well as more modern pieces that maximize student potential for physical growth. If we can't go outside then physical activites will be provided in the classroom.

Safety and Security

To keep children safe as they learn, laugh, and play, doors require keycode access, and the yard is fully fenced in. The Academy security policy includes strict adherence to state and local regulations, as well as its own criteria to ensure student safety.

Parent Involvement

The Learning Tree recognizes the importance of connecting school and home and offers many opportunities for parents and families to participate and be a part of the program and their child’s educational experience.

An open line of communication is always available. The family engagement app gives a window to what your child is learning and doing throughout the day, including messaging between family and teachers, updates on meals and activities, and pictures!

The Windham Learning Tree Academy

The Windham Learning Tree Academy believes that children are growing physically, socially, emotionally, cognitively, and spiritually. It believes in an individualized and well-balanced program that builds on each individual child’s self-esteem and self-confidence in a safe, healthy, quality learning environment.

Program Requirements

Children must be in a Kindergarten, First, Second, or Third Grade school program.
Children must be 2.6 years through 10 years to enroll in our summer program. Enrollment is separate from the academic school year.
The Windham Learning Tree Academy offers programs for children from ages three through six.
