The Dean is not just another hotel restaurant-it’s a destination that offers a refined dining experience rooted in local flavors with a global spin. The newly reimagined restaurants, along with their brand new menus, are part of the recently renovated Hilton Hotel & Conference Center in College Station.
A Modern Twist on Tradition
The Dean is serving up continental cuisine featuring European and American-style dishes. The moment you step inside The Dean, you’ll feel the blend of old-world charm and modern style. The Dean rounds out the trio of dining experiences at the Hilton, joining Reveille, the rooftop spot reimagining nostalgic college classics with a gourmet twist, and Offshore Bar & Grill, your go-to for poolside bites and drinks.
According to Hilton College Station Manager Marrissa Selby, the location has always been a staple in the community. "People have had a lot of proms here, weddings here, it’s been a big major piece of the culture of Aggieland and College Station. Just to kind of bring it back to life has been a really exciting experience."
Bourbon-Forward Bar
Handcrafted cocktails are featured on the menu with over 70 options of bourbon. The Dean’s bar is very bourbon-forward, and Food and Beverage Director Jason Hopkins says they have put a modern twist on drinks from the 1920s and 30s. No meal at The Dean is complete without trying the cocktail menu, where bourbon-forward drinks steal the spotlight.
For those looking to venture off the beaten path, Memoirs of a Geisha offers a mix of Whistle Pig PiggyBack Rye, elderflower, guajillo chili, and ginger. It’s a little floral, a little spicy, and a lot memorable. If you’re after something more complex with a bit of a kick, the A.C.D. is your drink. Redemption Bourbon, Dolin Rouge vermouth, cherry bitters, and black walnut bitters come together, but it’s the finishing touch that steals the show-a hit of smoke trapped under a cloche, unleashed right before your eyes.
